What’s his deal, short story: 

Sabat is a grumpy looking ex-soldier, who travels around with a group of “adventurers”  to find a cure to his problem; His best friend died, is stuck inside his body and they need to take turns to control it. He and his group must eliminate a raising threat; an immortal Lich called Acererak, who has come back 30 years after being defeated before by a group of legendary adventurers.

Personality:

-True Neutral
-Sabat is sharp, intelligent, but not very charismatic, he has a hard time expressing his emotions and prefers being/thinking practical. He is quite serious, focussed and somewhat impatient. Sabat has always struggled with mental stability and suffers from CPTSD, and a lot of self-hate/anxiety. Sabat has built a wall around him, life often feels dull and he has a hard time connecting with others. 

-Sabat's way of coping is keeping himself busy, he is not somebody that can do nothing for a long time.
-Sabat thinks like a soldier, he kills if necessary and feels little to no empathy towards others who make this action necessary.
-Sabat has been abused for a large part of his childhood until he joined the army. He thought to have found his place in life there, however, fate, decided otherwise.
